Infant Eye Exams - InfantSEE

Dr. Jansma has been serving as a volunteer InfantSEE provider for over 12 years.  InfantSEE is a nationwide program that provides free eye exams for infants under the age of one through participating providers who receive special training on performing infant eye assessments.  Infant eye exams are important to assess for vision problems such as excessive or unequal amounts of farsightedness, nearsightedness, or astigmatism in addition to monitoring for any eye health problems or issues with eye alignment or movement.  These problems are not common, but it is important to identify them at an early age.  Vision development and eye health problems are easier to correct if treatment begins early.

Dr. Jansma and all of us at The Eye Co. believe in supporting the mission of the InfantSEE program to ensure that eye and vision care is an essential part of infant wellness care in order to improve a child's quality of life.
